Milestones met: E-learning Platform Project (Training and Handover)

Law Department

On Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th of June, we had introductory training sessions on the newly implemented E-learning platform at an Education Institution for Lecturers from the College of Law. The aim of the training is to get the Lecturers on board using the E-learning platform as well as being able to continue learning on their own with the supporting resources available on the platform. Topics in the training sessions include the following.

  1. Introduction: About the platform
  2. E-learning Survey
  3. Main Features
  4. Accessing the Platform and Logging ON
  5. The Dashboard
  6. Locating and accessing courses
  7. Requesting for a Course
  8. The Course Content Page
  9. Activities and resources
  10. Empty Course Page
  11. Sample course page design
  12. Learning Resources on the Platform
  13. Getting enrolled on the Learning Courses above
  14. Accessing the Platform with your Smart phone/Tablet

The VC  of the Institution is of the opinion that the E-learning platform will be an added value in the Accreditation process of Colleges in the Institution and urges that all the Lecturers should get onboard learning and using the Platform to enhance their teaching and learning process.

Training guide was provided for the Lecturers as well as the need for them to complete a survey in order for us to understand their needs for E-learning and how best to make provisions for them as we continue to improve the platform. This is a milestone in the series of milestones that has been successfully completed in this project of implementing E-learning platform at the Institution.

On Thursday 15th of June, the completed E-learning Platform Project was handed over to the VC and IT Director of the Institution, while we still continue to provide training and support services at Webhostville, as and when required. The complete details of this project will soon appear on our main project page
